I came over here to speak to the Israeli chocolate lover population.
We are all familiar with the Elite brand (Strauss Elite) and their series of chocolate bars - Cow Chocolate (שוקולד פרה!). For your safety you better know I found something very suspicious and dangerous in an Elite's hazelnut chocolate bar a few days ago. Here are photos of the thing you must be aware of and carefully avoid:









This might look like an innocent attempt to surprise the customer with some kind of a note you would find in fortune cookies, but there's no innocence here other than the customer's who just wanted to enjoy some chocolate! What you see in the photos is some kind of an thin elastic gum/plastic strap and luckily for me I'm not one of those who don't separate the chocolate cubes and just eat a bunch at once, because then I would have either swallowed it or choked on it right away. Later I found more of that strap in other cubes.
I called Elite, it was really hard to reach them because they barely ever answer the phone. I finally reached them and their customer service agent said I'll have an envelope sent to me so I could send them what I found. He spoke in the name of the company, said they were extremely sorry, that it didn't represent the company, yada, yada, yada, bottom line -- no compensation for the fact I almost ate that thing and god knows what could have happened to me!!!
After too many days from that call I got the envelope, sent them their great chocolate, and heard nothing ever since (their dude said I'd be updated).
I hereby call you all to stand together against Elite and ban Cow Chocolate!
