David and I checked the sand sculpture exhibition out on Saturday. The war started while they were still working on the sculptures so they had to stop. However, they completed the sculptures by now and decided to make it a free entrance exhibition and just cheer people up after all the craziness they have been through lately.

We parked near the train station and had to walk a little to get to the Meridian Hotel area, where the sand sculpture festival took place.

By the time we got there the heat was barely bearable (it really felt like we were melting), but we didn't skip not even one sculpture and took gazillion of pictures. Now, when David got his own camera he takes pictures obsessively just like I do :)

The leading theme was fairy tales! Prrrfect! There was a sign beside each sculpture saying the amount of sand that was used and how long they worked on it. I personally concentrated more on how I was gonna take a picture with the least of heads and little hands shoved in, and not so much on the signs.
