One of the presents I got from Adi was a hair straightner, so obviously I used it over the weekend and was planning on having my hair straight for the next few weeks. When I got to the base people noticed something was different about it instantly. It was also different because I usually braid my hair and this time I didn't (obviously). Some people were totally clueless though and thought I had dyed my hair. I got a lot of funny reactions... It was so weird to hear comments about my hair because there's hardly ever a reason to comment on it. I've never been to a salon and never gotten a real professional hair-cut. I've always got either my grantdmother or my mom to cut my hair, and for the last two year I actually did it on my own.

The whole division was in some kind of a seminar for the whole day. From the title you can figure out that it wasn't so exciting. I actually fell asleep for at least two hours in the afternoon (right in front of all the very important people that were giving the lectures...though my commander knows the address of my blog, so if he didn't notice then he'll probably notice now). Then I woke up to a speech from the head of my division. It's pretty amusing to listen to him because he has a lot of pauses in the middle of his sentences when he's just kinda stuck on some random vowel and do the weirdest things with it, almost like an opera singer warming up her voice. It was not, however, interesting enough to keep me awake for more than a few mintues.
