Last night just before I went to bed I heard rustling noises from the "safe room" (every Israeli house is required to have a room that is reinforced in case of attack). At first I thought it was just a plastic bag that was falling very slowly, but after awhile it became too long to be a falling bag, and it also sounded like it was jumping/flapping around. It caught Brendon's attention, too, so I decided it had to be a locust. I locked myself in my room and didn't leave it again for the night, but today there was no evidence of a locust in that room.... so I finally left my room.

Anyhow, the freakier thing that happened yesterday was at noon: my mom was driving, and was already in our parking lot when 3 abandoned, demonic dogs (or some kind of coyotes) came towards her, stood up with there paws on the front of the car, and barked really loud and gave her murderous looks -- like something out of a scary movie. I don't know what would have happened if the windows weren't closed. My mom tried to drive them away by honking (she was afraid of running over them) but it didn't impress them much. After some more honking she started driving the car really really slowly and they finally let go.
