are these interviews ever gonna end?A few days ago I went to yet another interview, this time in the Glilot base. My father gave me a ride to the base, which was really sweet of him considering he didn't need to go to that area at all and had other things to do. They told me the interview would take place at the "memorial site" so I was waiting there for about an hour and a half... I could have waited there forever if I wouldn't have kept asking the interviewer wtf was going on. It turned out my interview was in some other section that is located deeper in the base, so I went all the way down there. Of course then I had to wait until all of the people who had gotten there even an hour and a half after me finished their interview (and spent two more hours waiting). Then they finally called me and the show began! It was shorter than any one else's interview... like, hardly 5-6 minutes! Good interview though, but it totally wasn't worth all the time and effort of going to the base -- they could have interviewed me on the phone or something (yea yea... I know they get a better impression of me by talking to me in person and observing my body language and stuff, but I don't care!) Anyhow, getting back wasn't that difficult (to my surprise). I took a bus to Tel Aviv and took the train from there to Haifa (I don't have an exciting story about it this time). Now, Christmas wasn't really noticeable at all... I mean, "the Christmas miracle" was that a cab driver stopped for Adi and me at a crosswalk. It might not seem like much, but for Israel, this was a miracle. Technically I didn't do anything "special" on New Year's Eve either, but it was a lovely evening. New Year's day was quite fun, too. No complains. I got this cool link from Adi. It lets you write whatever you want on church signs. |
