What's up, God?Shai Davidovitch, a 27 year old guy and comedian, got sick of his name last year and, as an atheist, he decided to change his name to Elohim because it makes the word more convenient and simple (I'm sure it has nothing to do with any ego problem). The Ministry of the Interior (which I will call MOTI from now on) wouldn't have let him change his name to something like god, so the guy was sneaky and asked to change it to "אל והים" (it's like "Go D" or something) after a book he read. If the MOTI ppl would have bothered to check that, they would have seen that there is no book by that name, however, they accepted his request instead. Now he got that name for his identity card and everything and it looks like his name is actually god. Everybody calls him "God", so basically this is his name... A hell of a name. |
